RE: should underbelly sag?!

I noticed my underbelly sagging when I stepped out of the shower this morning, oh pardon me, you were talking about trailers.:B

RE: Backing over curbs

Went to the RV dealer this afternoon and ordered the "curb ramp." It'll be in tomorrow. Thanks for the advice folks.

RE: The smoke is back

Some evenings it's almost like fog around here. We're going to Morro Bay Thursday for a few days. Wonder if the smoke from the Santa Barbara and Big Sur fires are visible there? Hope not. I could use some fresh air.

RE: Serious Question

True story: A few years ago an older friend of mine died. All he ever wore was bib overalls. Well, the family took a new suit to the funeral home for him to be buried in. At the viewing, everyone said he just didn't look the same. So, his family had the funeral staff remove the suit, and put him in a pair of bib overalls. His friends still talk about how nice the service was, and the family felt so much better.

RE: Backing over curbs

Thanks 2007 dura, that "curb ramp" looks interesting. Think I'll give them a call and check it out. Thanks to all who replied. I don't actually have enough old 2x4's to cut up and make my own. If I had to go buy them, it'd be about as cheap to look in that "curb ramp."

Backing over curbs

We have a very tight driveway. In order to back 5er in, I have to back up over the curb. I'm looking for suggestions, websites, etc. or photos of home made ramps. Thanks in advance.

RE: Have you ever WON a great prize?

A friend won a new shotgun in a drawing. He offered it to me for my wife. I'm still trying to decide if I should take the trade.

RE: adding cabinets

We haven't added cabinets, but we did have our entertainment area enlarged so we could have a bigger television. I realize this has nothing to do with your question, but I'm so happy with the new 32" flat screen, I just had to brag.:D

RE: Lawn mower housing cracked

Thank you fine gentleman for reading my question and replying with a serious answer. I'll check with the hardware store and see what they offer.

Lawn mower housing cracked

Not sure if this is the right section to post this. I noticed yesterday the housing on my Honda lawn mower has a 3" crack in the side. The mower is only about three years old and runs great. Can this be patched with anything? I'm assuming it's hard plastic of some sort.

RE: You can never go home again

Horsedoc: Enjoyed your post. I retired five years ago after being a cop for 31 years. Had never stepped foot back in the office till last week when I had to get my I.D. card (with CCW endorsement) renewed. There are no negative reasons as to why I don't visit regularly. Bottom line is, it's just not mine anymore. You're part of a brotherhood/sisterhood while in uniform. My old dept. has so many new guys I didn't know most of them. Oh well, gotta pack the 5er for our Memorial Day weekend trip. It's nice not having to ask for days off.:) Let's agree to turn our old lives over to the new generation and set off on new adventures. Enjoy your retirement.

RE: Wheel bearing question

Dave: Someone posted the question earlier about how often I repacked the bearings on my car. I hated to admit it, but I don't remember ever doing it on my last car, and it had a little over 100,000 miles on it, although I did have a brake job done on it. I'll probably be a little more attentive to my DuraMax. (love that truck) I do vaguely remember doing a bearing job on a '63 chevy I had years ago.:)

RE: Wheel bearing question

For all of you who mentioned checking to see if they were done correctly to begin with; I had never thought of that. Think I'll get it in to the shop a little earlier than I had planned. Thanks to all. Also, think I'll plan on every other year just to be safe. That seems to be the general consensus.
